【最後的風景】For the love of live

終於看完了七十多集的卡通片《MONSTER》(港譯:魔剎),
心情應該是被劇情所影響,
使我好幾天情緒也陷於低落。
記得猶如怪物的男主角約翰,
千方百計的要讓天馬醫生看到他精心佈局的那個「最後的風景」,
為的不過是要展示給天馬醫生一個他認為的信念,
就是『只有死亡才是平等』。
若然生存並不是平等,那愛究竟還有甚麼容身之處?
說到這裡,也許你壓根兒不知道我想說甚麼。
假如世上真的只有死亡才是平等的話,
那我們是否就像天馬醫生的前女友艾娃在片尾所說的一樣,
人類不過是一種利己的動物。
因為這樣的話,那麼貪婪,妒忌,怨恨......一切有了合理的解釋。
如果生存在世的意義就是利己,這樣生存又怎可能平等呢?
而所謂愛,又會否只是其中一種利己行為呢?
再看看我們生活中各式各樣建基於計算的所謂『愛情』。
彷彿沒有一定的回報,我們寧願放棄愛。
也許我們不願相信我們是這麼計較，
但小心留意平日之中的話題，
由花邊新聞，工作處世，甚至結婚生兒；
當中有幾多炫耀自已計算精準，
當中又有幾多嘰笑別人不懂平衡輕重。
忽然想起電影放逐中一個充滿傻氣的對白，
『究竟一噸愛有幾重？』
愛是甚麼?生命是甚麼?看畢這套卡通對生命彷彿又有一點領悟。

We'll defeat this
They may tear us down
But we'll go down fighting
won't we?
